View of the Meramec River from the Vilander Bluff Trail in Onondaga Cave State Park. The trail is a 1.25 mile loop in good condition with some hills. The view of the river is not on the trail. Hiking the trail clockwise, when you get to the bench on top of the hill, follow the ridge to the left till you reach the bluffs overlooking the river. Park Trails
Kayaking from Onondaga Cave State Park to Blue Springs Creek Saturday, August 2, 2014. Most of the river was quiet but there were sections jammed with rafts and canoes. Next time I float this part of the river it will be on a week day.
